Mother’s Day is just around the corner on Sunday, May 11th. Help support the Fair Trade movement by buying jewelry from our site www.elementalsilver.com. Our jewelry is bought direct from the Thai artisans whom create it. We are helping alleviate poverty and increasing humane treatment of these talented inviduals with every piece we are able to sell.

We found a user who sells recycled journals & sketch books that are all handmade. The paper is recycled scrap paper. Check out some samples below and view all the items here.

Did you know we buy every handmade piece of jewelry direct from the Thai artisans that produce it? We pay them fair for each and are practicing true Fair Trade every time we visit. Did you know that we also donate 10% of all profits to an Elephant Refuge in Thailand?
I ran across this video of a really interesting shower system from a company called Quench. It has a “recycle” mode for when you are not lathering or shampooing, which will take a gallon of water and simply circulate it over and over so you can take a shower as long as you like without pulling more than the 1 gallon that is being circulated continuously. Pretty neat stuff.
We have been raising money since November for Elephants & Friends refuge in Nang Hoi, Thailand. In addition, we have been trying to get the word our about our Fair Trade work we’ve been doing with Thai silver jewelry artisans.
